News Release: Celebrate the Birth of the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo’s New Baby Gorilla with a Bottle of Vino

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CALGARY, Alta. Apr. 29, 2022 — Willow Park Wines & Spirits and the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo have re-joined forces to support wildlife conservation. Each bottle of Calgary Zoo Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc 2020 sold will contribute $2.50 to ongoing conservation efforts. The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is part of the Species Survival Plan (SSP) for western lowland gorillas, which aims to establish and maintain a healthy and genetically diverse population in human care as an assurance population for this critically endangered species. And there is no better time to savour the special moments and support wildlife conservation than with the birth of the new baby gorilla and Mother's Day festivities.

“We’re excited to celebrate the new baby gorilla and are even more excited to partner with the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo. Their programs and many events we’ve teamed up on have allowed us to support their organization for many years”, says Sarah Ross, public relations manager of Willow Park Wines & Spirits.

Willow Park Wines & Spirits has a long history with the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and are thrilled to support their efforts by reintroducing their private label bottles of Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, exclusively available at Willow Park Wines & Spirits. With close to 1000 bottles available (each priced at $16.99 CAD), oenophiles and casual vino fans alike can place an order online or in-person at Willow Park Wines & Spirits main store.
